Description
This Sweetgreen Wild Rice recipe is the best way to make wild rice if you are making any Sweetgreen copycat salads at home. It also makes a delicious side dish all on its own!
Ingredients
- 1 cup wild rice
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1/2 tsp salt
Instructions
- Rinse the wild rice under cold water for 30 seconds.
- Add the wild rice, chicken broth and salt to a small saucepan. Bring to a boil. Once boiling, cover the pot and reduce the temperature to low to maintain a gentle simmer. Cook the rice for about 30 to 45 minutes. Once the rice grains begin to split open, the rice is done cooking.
- Remove the rice from the stovetop and drain any excess liquid. Let the rice cool for a few minutes, then use a fork to fluff up the grains before serving.
