Description

This Sweetgreen umami seasoning recipe is a copycat recipe of Sweetgreen’s famous seasoning used in a number of their salad recipes. If you want to make copycat Sweetgreen salads at home, you’ll need this homemade umami seasoning.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 tbsp nutritional yeast
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tbsp paprika
  • 1/2 tbsp cumin
  • 1/2 tbsp salt
  • 1 tsp red chili flakes


Instructions

  1. Add the nutritional yeast, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, cumin, salt and red chili flakes to small bowl. 
  2. Mix well until all the spices are evenly combined.

Notes

  • Storage: Store this umami seasoning in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 to 4 months.
  • Using umami seasoning. This umami seasoning can be used to season roasted vegetables, such as sweet potatoes, broccoli, carrots and cauliflower.
