Ingredients & Substitutions

- Steak: Make your Sweetgreen caramelized garlic steak in advance. You can cook your steak using whichever method you prefer and cook to your desired doneness. If you don’t like steak, you can make this cast-iron skillet chicken instead.
- Broccoli & Sweet Potatoes: Both of these vegetables are roasted using Sweetgreen’s umami seasoning. You can follow this recipe for Sweetgreen’s spicy broccoli and this recipe for Sweetgreen’s roasted sweet potatoes. However, you can also just roast these vegetables in the oven using a bit of olive oil, salt and pepper if you prefer.
- Cherry Tomatoes: Cut your cherry or grape tomatoes in half.
- Wild Rice: Sweetgreen’s wild rice is used as the base for this salad recipe. You can replace the salad base with quinoa, brown rice or couscous. You could also use a kale or another leafy green as a base for a lower carb salad.
- Pesto Vinaigrette: This steak salad is topped with Sweetgreen’s pesto vinaigrette that is made with olive oil, fresh basil, umami seasoning and apple cider vinegar. As a substitute, you can use Sweetgreen’s balsamic vinaigrette dressing, or a classic red wine vinaigrette.
Step By Step Instructions
Step 1: Add the roasted sweet potatoes, roasted spicy broccoli, wild rice, caramelized garlic steak, and cherry tomatoes to a large salad bowl.

Step 2: Pour the pesto vinaigrette on top of the salad and toss to combine.
